Public transit connections are available at or near all East Bay and San Francisco ferry terminals. Taxis, shuttles and pedicabs may also be available. Free Bus Transfers with Ferry Ticket Purchase
EAST BAY Bus Transfers - Every ferry ticket comes with an attached AC Transit bus transfer allowing ferry riders free AC Bus ridership to and from Clay Street (Jack London Square) ferry terminal or the Alameda (Main Street) ferry terminal. An additional charge is required for AC Express (X) buses. For maps and bus schedule information: www.actransit.org

SAN FRANCISCO Bus Transfers - Only ferry tickets in the 10, 20, and 40 ticket books include MUNI transfers. Transfers are valid on MUNI buses, trolleys and light rail with no surcharge. A cable car surcharge is required. MUNI transfers must be validated onboard the ferry before use. MUNI transfers from the ferry terminal are valid for two hours from the time stamped on the transfer ticket. On MUNI from the ferry, give the detached, validated MUNI stub to the driver for validation. MUNI transfers to the ferry terminal are valid until midnight of the date issued. ON MUNI to the ferry, present the MUNI stub with the ferry ticket attached. An additional charge is required for cable cars. Some restrictions apply. Alameda's Main Street Ferry Terminal

  1. AC Transit 50: Connects the ferry terminal with the Fruitvale BART station, the USS Hornet Museum, as well as the following connecting destinations:
       Park Street @ Santa Clara Avenue
       Southshore Shopping Center
       Lincoln Avenue @ Webster Street
       Pacific Avenue @ Main Street
       Atlantic Avenue @ Webster Street
       14th Street @ Martin Luther King
       14th Street @ Broadway
     

Oakland Ferry Terminal at Jack London Square

  1. AC Transit 11: Located 3 blocks from the Clay Street terminal at 2nd and Broadway. It serves the Kaiser Center and the Lake Merritt Bart Station, as well as the following connecting destinations:
       Highland Avenue @ Highland Way
       Harrison Street @ MacArthur Boulevard
       14th Street @ Broadway
       14th Street @ Foothill Boulevard
       Fruitvale Avenue @ Montana Street


    AC Transit 72 and 73: Located 3 blocks from the Clay Street terminal at 2nd and Broadway. Provides ground transportation to and from the ferry terminal for the cities of Oakland, Berkeley and Richmond. It serves the Oakland Amtrak, El Cerrito Bart Station, Del Norte Bart Station, Contra Costa College, Hilltop Mall and the Richmond Bart Station, as well as the following connecting destinations:

San Francisco Ferry Building - South Terminal

Between the Ferry Building and MUNI
Only ferry tickets in the 10, 20, and 40 ticket books include MUNI transfers. Transfers are valid on MUNI buses, trolleys and light rail with no surcharge. A cable car surcharge is required.
