Accessibility

Both the Oakland and Alameda ferry terminals are wheelchair accessible, and have accessible parking. The Alameda ferry terminal restrooms are accessible though the City of Alameda has implemented a program of restroom accessibility upgrades that should be completed by September 2009. All boats are accessible to riders with disabilities and provide a wheelchair accessible restroom. Please ask one of our deck hands for assistance with boarding or departing the ferry. In addition, wheelchair and companion seating areas are available on both MV Peralta and the MV Encinal. On the Peralta the areas are located on the first deck forward on both the starboard and port sides, and amid ship near the snack bar. Additional seating is available on the main deck outside on the stern. On the Encinal the areas are located on the first deck forward on both the starboard and port sides, and amid ship near the snack bar.
