Ferry Expands Weekend Service Today, the Alameda/Oakland Ferry announced the launch of expanded weekend service beginning on Saturday, May 20. The expanded service features 9 daily round trips between Oakland, Alameda, the San Francisco Ferry Building, San Francisco’s Pier 39/Fisherman’s Wharf and special runs to Angel Island State Park. In addition the ferry will continue its popular service to AT&T Park for weekday night and weekend day Giants games. The ferry offers convenient service from two east bay terminals. The Oakland terminal is located at the base of Clay Street near the intersection of Clay and the Embarcadero, Jack London Square. The Alameda terminal is located at 2990 Main Street and free parking is available adjacent to the terminal. Tickets are purchased onboard the ferry. One-way fares are: Adults, $5.50; Juniors ages 5 to 12 years old, $2.75; Seniors and disabled persons, $3.25; and children under 5 years old, free. Service amenities include free parking in Alameda and Oakland, and a full service onboard beverage and snack bar. Bicycles are welcome.
