Ferry Expands Labor Day Holiday Schedule

The Alameda/Oakland ferry will increase service over the 3-day Labor Day holiday. The expanded service is part of Caltrans' effort to offer public transit alternatives to the Bay Bridge while the bridge is closed. Caltrans will close the Bay Bridge in order to perform important seismic safety work on a section of the bridge east of the Yerba Buena Island Tunnel. The Bay Bridge will be closed in both directions from 8:00 PM, Friday, August 31 to 5:00 AM, Tuesday, September 4th.

The ferry holiday schedule provides 14 round trips per day between Alameda, Oakland's Jack London Square, the San Francisco Ferry Building and the San Francisco Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf area. In addition, there is service from the east bay to Angel Island State Park on all three days. The holiday schedule is:
