Ferry Announces July 4th Holiday Schedule

Today, the Alameda/Oakland Ferry Service announced its schedule for the July 4th holiday. On Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday, July 1, 2 and 4, the ferry will operate its weekend schedule featuring nine round-trips per day. On these three days, the ferry will also provide service to Angel Island State Park. On Monday, July 3rd, the ferry will offer its regular weekday schedule with 13 round-trips between Oakland, Alameda, the San Francisco Ferry Building, and San Francisco's Pier 39/ Fisherman's Wharf area. There is no Angel Island service on Monday, July 3rd.

On Tuesday, July 4th, the regular 8:10 PM and 9:40 PM Pier 41 San Francisco departures will be canceled to accommodate the San Francisco fireworks display. After the fireworks display, the last departures to Alameda and Oakland will leave San Francisco's Pier 41 at approximately 10:30 PM and the Ferry Building at approximately 10:45 PM.

East Bay riders can board the ferry at two convenient ferry terminals. The Oakland terminal is located at the base of Clay Street near the intersection of Clay and the Embarcadero, Jack London Square. Free parking is available in the seven-story garage at the intersection of Washington and the Embarcadero, Jack London Square. The Alameda Terminal is located at 2990 Main Street. Free parking is available adjacent to the dock.

Tickets are purchased onboard the ferry. One-way fares are: Adults, $5.50; Juniors ages 5 to 12 years old, $2.75; Seniors and disabled persons, $3.25; and Children under 5 years old are free. Service amenities include free parking in Alameda and Oakland, and a full service onboard beverage and snack bar. Bicycles are welcome.
