Free Ferry Rides For Bicyclists on
Bike To Work Day

The Alameda Harbor Bay and Alameda/Oakland ferries announced today that bicyclists will ride free on Bike to Work Day, Thursday, May 18, 2006. The free ferry ride offer is good all day and on all runs. To qualify, bicyclists must have their bicycles with them. This is the fourth year that the ferries have participated in the annual Bike to Work Day event.

The ferries provide service between Alameda, Oakland and the San Francisco Ferry Building. The Alameda Harbor Bay Ferry operates between Alameda’s Bay Farm Island and the San Francisco Ferry Building, with three AM and four PM runs. The Alameda/Oakland Ferry provides weekday and weekend service between Oakland, Alameda, the San Francisco Ferry Building and San Francisco’s Pier 41. Free parking is available at all three east bay terminals.
