The Alameda/Oakland Ferry will run direct service between the east bay and AT&T Park for Major League Baseball All-Star Game festivities on Monday and Tuesday, July 9 and 10. This special service will operate between Alameda Main, Oakland's Jack London Square, and AT&T Park's McCovey Cove. On Monday and Tuesday, July 9 and 10 the ferry:
On Monday, July 9, the return ferry departs McCovey Cove at 20 minutes after conclusion of the Home Run Derby but in no case later than 11:30 PM. On Tuesday, July 10, the return ferry departs McCovey Cove 20 minutes after the last out but in no case later than 11:30 PM. On Monday, July 9, AT&T Park is the site for All-Star Work Out Day and for the home run derby. Tuesday's activities include the All-Star game and pre-game ceremonies. Ticketing and Boarding: Tickets are purchased onboard the ferry at time of departure. No advanced ticket purchase is available for this service. All customers boarding in Alameda or Oakland will receive a "boarding pass." On the return boat, departing AT&T Park for the East Bay, customers presenting a "boarding pass" will be boarded first. Due to security concerns, passengers may not bring the following items onboard: weapons or security-sensitive objects, open containers (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), alcoholic beverages, hard-sided coolers, and briefcases, diaper bags, purses or backpacks, or bags that are larger than 16'x16"x8".
